Ah, the pleasure of summer. I took a walk on the beach the other weekend and couldn't help but feel the general sense of merriment. Kids burying each other in the sand, teenage girls shrieking in the ocean each time huge waves crashed over them, European tourists out in full force,  people strumming guitars as they sit on the sand, a boy dragging in a huge pile of kelp from the water, wearing most of it on his head. He, in particular, amused me. So nice to have different rhythms to different seasons.

Freshly painted lifeguard house...normally they are light blue, but this one is a little spunky. There's something about "summer of color" which means something, I think...
