Thoughts on change.

Yesterday I took this photo of our fence that used to be completely covered by a blooming vine. It was trimmed back about two weeks ago so that the fence was left totally bare. Today I noticed how quickly it's beginning to grow back.

And then the thought came to mind that sometimes in life, something is just waiting to be cut off so that a new thing can grow in its place. It reminded me to not be afraid to let go of the old. In doing so, we allow the chance for something new to come and take root. And it may even surprise us.
