Today I had to go to the eye doctor. It seems every time I go, my doctor never ceases to be fascinated by my eyes. I think I mentioned a long time ago that I see primarily with one eye. So each time I go in, he likes to devise theories as to how my eyes turned out the way they did, speculate about what didn't happen developmentally that should have when I was born, etc. Today he mentioned that 3D movies are a waste on me, and that was new information. I was like, really? I mean, I can still tell a difference when you put on those 3D glasses. But apparently a lot of the 3D effect is lost on me. Huh. So then I started joking around with him about how I should get a discount for that, given how pricey 3D movies are. I need a disabled card or something. And then I started thinking about how my one eye status affects my art. It makes me wonder how my art would look if I could see 100% out of both eyes. Hmm. Guess that's something I'll have to keep wondering.
I didn't know this about you. Fascinating. It's interesting to think about how this might affect your art but you can't really know anything other than how you have always seen the world.
