We were walking down an empty alleyway this morning discussing what kind of car to get next...whether it should be a two-seater or something bigger. Basically, we like having as little car as possible. Having just one car has been working well for the past seven years, and the more compact that car is the better, as far as we're concerned. So anyway, we were saying how a two-seater would be tough if we wanted to drive friends or out-of-town visitors around. Then all of a sudden a deep voice from out of nowhere says, "Get a sidecar." We laughed out loud at this well-timed declaration and then glanced around to see where it had come from. A large homeless man was sitting in the bushes who had apparently been listening to our conversation the whole time. His witty, apropos contribution made my day. 🙂
I love the voice out of nowhere...maybe it was the voice of God through the homeless man. Here's another idea: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703585004575604883465682458.html
That’s funny…one of those would probably fit right in in Santa Monica. 🙂
