I like exploring new neighborhoods. I was reminded of this the other week as I drove across a huge swath of LA to visit a gallery exhibition. I took side roads to avoid the freeways, and in the process kept coming across little neighborhoods that I keep wanting to visit. And more specifically, eat in. Neighborhoods with names like Little Armenia, Filipinotown, and Little Ethiopia. I've passed by some of them before. But the historic Filipinotown sign was new to me.
Neighborhoods like these are fascinating. I love feeling like I've stepped into another country for a few blocks. Different cultures in general are fascinating to me. I don't think I will ever run out of places to explore in LA - the options are endless.
