I like the idea of riding your bike everywhere you need to go. At least in theory. Especially when there are handy-dandy bike valets, like this one. The fact is though, I am more of a walker than a biker. I actually feel a bit self-conscious every time I ride a bike. I don't like drawing attention to myself, in any way really. And it seems when you are on a bike, people pay attention to you more. Maybe it is all in my head. But I prefer to go unnoticed and fly under the radar. With much of life, actually. Maybe this is because I spend so much time observing my surroundings. And garnering attention interferes with that. It's a good thing then that I don't desire to become famous, like lots of other people here. Fame would do me in and probably force me to adopt some kind of extreme lifestyle, like living remotely in the mountains and only making an appearance once a year. 🙂

  1. and the crazy irony is that, "living remotely in the mountains and only making an appearance once a year" would likely make you even more famous and sought after!
