I had the pleasure of hearing my friend, Sarah, perform with her band this weekend at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. Bummer that my only photo turned out a bit blurry - the venue was very cool and classy. I know Sarah from years ago when she and I were both living in the bay area.  We both moved down to southern CA around the same time to pursue our creative dreams, she as a musician, myself as an artist. I have always felt an affinity with her...our midwestern roots and creative souls recognized one another early on in our friendship. Plus, how can I not like a fellow redhead?

Her band was excellent...so much fun to hear how they are gelling and growing as musicians and performers. I hope that Hotel Cafe will get to hear much, much more from them...
